Tuners

  • Gotoh 510 mini’s with Ebony Button
    21:1 Ratio

In my opinion, these are undboutedly the most consistent, reliable, and enjoyable tuner to use. Like butter.

  • Rodger’s Tuners
    $1500+

Handmade in Novia Scotia, these are some of the very finest tuners in the industry today.

    Check out the Rodger’s website!

    • Custom tuners take 6 months or longer to be delivered. Ordering custom tuners may increase the wait time for the guitar.

    • Payment for tuners will be due when Rodger’s is ready to ship them.

  • Do you offer any other tuner options?

I don’t. I’ve been talked into using other tuners in the past, and the decision is always regretted by all involved. Consistency is imperative. It’s been my experience that many companies lack this crucial factor.

The task at hand is far too essential to be flirting with disaster.

Electronics

    • Floating Johnny Smith Humbucker made by Lollar Pickup’s

      • A microphonic pickup which actually translates the the true and authentic voice of the guitar.

    • Mounted to the neck with my own mounting system, allowing for bass/trebel tilt adjustments.

    • It’s no wonder Jason Lollar and his crew are known as the best in the business!! It’s an honor to have these pickups as the MWG standard.

    • Volume and Tone Knobs

      • Mounted underneath pick guard

      • 500 K mini potentiometers

    • 1/4” Output Jack mounted at tailpiece

  • Will you install a different pickup?

    • Maybe. It depends on what it is - if it fits within the parameters of the contruction and mounting systems that I’ve developed, and it’s something I’m interested in trying, I’d be willing to consider it. If it requires altering the system that I know is reliable in any way, then it’s a no go.

What amp should I pair with my new MW Archtop?

    • Henriksen Amplifiers are my #1 choice!!

Cases

When a guitar leaves my shop, I imagine it’s embarking on a century long adventure. For this mission, I trust two case companies exclusively; Custom Calton Cases and Visesnut Cases. Both companies of choice bring me comfort that my instruments will be safe and stable for many adventures to come, and I’m confident that using cases that offer a higher level of protection, will extend the life of the instrument overall.

  • My #1 Choice

These fiberglass flight cases are handmade in Austin, TX and the Calton crew puts just as much love into making these cases as I put into making my guitars. Working with Calton over the last six years has allowed me to confidently ship and travel with guitars, all over the country. With a custom interior fit to my designs, and custom colors inside and out, these cases will guarantee your guitars will be rolling comfortably, safely, and stylishly for more years than we could imagine.

    PROS

    • Custom interior fit

    • Custom interior/exterior colors

    • Climate/Humidity Ssafety

    • Could run over with truck

    • An absolute must for traveling and touring musicians

    CONS

    • Heavy and bulky in size.

      • Average weight without a guitar: 4 lbs

  • My #2 Choice:

Not everybody needs a case for travel; In fact your guitar may never leave the house - or maybe it’s just every once in awhile for a local gig or hang. For those who need or prefer an ultra light case, and who won’t be relying on it regularly as a flight case, Visesnut is the solution.

    PRO’s

    • Lightweight & slender

      • Weight without guitar 4lb

    • Stands upright on it’s own

    • Cool exterior colors

    CON’s

    • Not a custom interior fit

    • No custom interior colors

    • Not safe for heavy duty travel

  • Is a case included with my custom instrument?
Most definitely. Additional upcharges, such as backpack straps or custom colors, are not included and will be billed for along with the final guitar payment.

Are there any other case options?
Nope. That’s it. My case experimenting days are behind me and these are currently the only two companies on my list of cases I trust to keep my instruments safe.

May I provide my own case?
You may not. Once the guitar is in your possession, you are welcome to use whichever case you desire and do with the original as you wish - it does come at the cost of the limited lifetime warranty.

May I pick my own case colors?
You may! I’ll need to know colors and any other upgrades you might like early on. Case deliveries can take up to six months, so I like to get the order in early. Otherwise, I’ll be happy to make the selection for you.

  • All do respect.. This is not about you.

This is about what’s best for the guitar, and keeping it safe for the many chapters to come.
